New Ultra Tough LINEBOAR Urethane Cups and Disks
We are proud to announce the development of a new line of highly wear resistant urethane cups and disks. LINEBOAR cups contain strips that greatly improve abrasion resistance. In controlled testing LINEBOAR materials have outperformed urethane alone by a over a factor of five.
LINEBOAR Tool Completes the First Successful Run in a Live Liquid Carbon Dioxide Line
BJB demonstrated the first successful tool run through a Kinder Morgan liquid CO2 pipeline. This run was completed in preparation for a later inline inspection. Liquid CO2 is a particularly challenging environment for most tools. Within the pipeline, carbon dioxide is held at pressures of over 1700psi. At these pressures CO2 becomes a supercritical fluid, and can easily penetrate and swell or dissolve many materials. In addition, CO2 provides very little lubrication between the cups and the walls of the pipe, so most cup materials wear very quickly. The LINEBOAR materials completed the run with a loss of less than 0.125 percent.

For many years, pipe freezing has been a simple method of stopping the flow through sections of pipeline that do not have shutoff valves. BJB’s new freezing jackets are non-invasive, harmless to the pipe, and easy to apply and use. Even better, nitrogen is non-toxic, and environmentally friendly.
